进行性染色液，尤其适用于细胞学涂片染色,GillⅠ液为正常浓度，染色时间3分钟。属于半氧化苏木素，比Harris苏木素稳定，染色后无需盐酸乙醇分化，其缺点是：黏附的明胶甚至玻片也会染色。
